We often hear from the world’s most successful people about how the reading of books holds the key to prosperity. I personally read quite a lot, but it got me wondering:

Is buying books a waste of money for most people?

In my opinion, the answer is yes. Most people do not follow through on any strategy or lessons taught by the books that they buy and read. Successful people can give you the full recipe, but you have to source the ingredients and make the cake yourself.

Now, let's be clear that some people read books for entertainment, of which I have no qualms. It is no different from other forms of entertainment like Netflix, and I would argue it is actually far better to read.

But if you are buying books because you want to emulate the success of others, then the investment is only sound if you add in the other key ingredients.

If you fall into category B, it isn’t the end of the world. In this article, I will give you some interesting facts about books and some ways to make sure you never waste money on a book again if your goal is financial freedom
